The Snacking Oracle

8 second animation · Ozzi original

A hand-illustrated fortune-teller cabinet, lit up under a starfield, with a crystal ball that turns over while she waits for a question. This is the animation that runs behind Ozzi's Snacking Oracle, and it loops on its own for eight seconds.

What the Oracle actually does

The premise is a joke with a real point underneath it. Snacking is rarely random. It clusters around the same hour, the same room, and the same mood, night after night, and most people can name their pattern the second someone asks them to. The Oracle asks.

  • The 3pm slump. Usually a lunch that was too light, or too little protein in it.
  • The 9pm couch graze. The most common one by a wide margin, and the one Ozzi was built for.
  • The post-workout raid. Real hunger stacked on top of a reward reflex.
  • The all-day nibble. Less about hunger than about proximity. The food is simply there.

Ask it yourself

The interactive version is one page over. Tell it when your cravings hit and it tells you what is probably driving them.
