Why weed gives you the munchies
The munchies aren't a character flaw. They're chemistry.
THC activates CB1 receptors in the parts of your brain that regulate appetite, and it doesn't stop there. A small pilot study in HIV-positive men found cannabis use shifted appetite hormones themselves, including ghrelin, the hormone that tells you to eat [1]. Small study, specific population, so hold it loosely, but it points the same direction as every smoker's lived experience: the same brain that was fine an hour ago is now getting a real hunger signal, aimed mostly at sweet, salty, fatty food.
That matters because it means fighting the munchies with willpower is bringing the wrong tool. You're arguing with a hormone.
What a munchies blocker actually has to do
You can't switch CB1 off without giving up the thing you were enjoying. What a munchies blocker can do is send the opposite signal at the same time. Three of Ozzi's six actives do exactly that.
Konjac fiber fills you up for real. Glucomannan absorbs water and expands in your stomach, and viscous fibers like it slow everything down in ways researchers link to satiety signaling, including the gut's own fullness hormones [2]. It's physical fullness, not a pep talk.
Allulose gives the sweet tooth what it wants without the sugar. 8g of a rare sugar that tastes like the real thing. In a randomized human trial, allulose taken with a sugar load blunted the glucose and insulin response compared to the sugar alone [3]. A second trial using much smaller doses found no significant effect [4], which is exactly the point: the dose decides, and Ozzi carries 8g, not a sprinkle. In mouse studies, allulose also triggered release of GLP-1, the fullness hormone, from the gut [5]. Human confirmation of that hormone effect is still pending, which is why we say Ozzi supports natural GLP-1 production rather than promising numbers.
Butyrate comes at the same pathway from the gut side. Mouse and cell research shows butyrate signaling the L-cells, the gut cells that release GLP-1 [6]. Ozzi carries 500mg of L-lysine butyrate so that signal doesn't depend on what your gut bacteria felt like fermenting today.
How to actually use it for the munchies
Mix a stick into 16oz of cold water before you smoke, or the moment the munchies start. Cold water genuinely tastes better and disperses the fiber more cleanly.
Then let the drink do the arguing. The fullness from the fiber shows up fast. The sweet taste takes the edge off the specific thing the munchies are asking for. And because there's no caffeine and no stimulants in it, a 10pm stick doesn't cost you sleep.
What this won't do
Honesty section. Ozzi won't cancel your high, and it won't make food stop existing. If you sit down with the bag of chips open, the chips still win. The realistic goal is different: the craving gets quieter, a drink replaces the second snack, and you wake up without the regret part.
That's also exactly what the guarantee tests. Take it for 14 straight days, and if your cravings and food noise aren't quieter, we refund your first bag.
